The first term organic farming workshop has successfully been held from October to December 2015! Students gained experience in organic farming - producing organic fertilizer and insects repellent. They could observe the plants from seed germination to harvest and learn how to distinguish different types of plants. Vegetables such as cabbage, choi sum, lettuce, white radish and beetroot were grown by participants and brought home to share with their families. Throughout the programme, the importance of consuming local organic products to reduce carbon footprints as well as the benefits done to the environment was discussed. The second term organic farming workshop will be held from mid-March to mid-May. Please come and join us!
